Awesome Mod

Pescado has apparently finished his Awesome Mod for the Sims 3.
http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,15185.0/topicseen.html

FEATURES:
1. Story Mode Disablement Now Works
2. No Parthenogenesis! New babies are required to have actual parents.
3. No Inventory Destruction
A fambly you switch away from no longer loses all personal inventory.
4. Manual Navigation & Smarter Autonavigation
Go Here Will Not Queuestomp.
Go Here "Automatic" Mode smarter about choosing fastest movement mode.
5. Smarter Chair Selection: No more 80-mile hikes for bizarre chairs.
6. No 16K Handouts: Sims Split From Famblies Do Not Receive Magic Money.
7. Books Are Not Magic Scrolls: Books do not disintegrate after reading.
8. Allow Arbitrary Moves & Famblys
No adult requirement restrictions on CAS famblys.
Can split fambly without including an adult(deleted unauthorized baby!)
9. Less Whiny
10. Less Route Fail
11. No Idiotic Time Restrictions on Cooking
12. Steel Bladder Nerf
Sims now still have a bladder motive, but just won't pee themselves.
Brings power in line with perks of comparable cost (which don't remove
the motive entirely like this one does, yet cost more).
13. Athletic Tone Selector Now Smarter
No longer automatically uses the crappy basic option, instead picking a
smarter tone more suitable for your sim (NoSweat if high hygiene,
Push Self if not maxed, Good Pacing otherwise). User may still override
and pick another tone if desired as part of a quest or just because.
14. Debug commands enabled.
15. Additional codes for "destroyallhumans". Also townies, npcs.
16. 5-trait limit now overrideable. Semper Fidelis Tyrannosaurus!

If you wish to use this, please poke through any other mods you may have in. That trait unlocking mod at MTS is not compatible for instance.

Sooo excited to have this. Borked story mode kind of had me disappointed; nice to be able to switch between houses and not lose everything I've earned ;_____; Now I can play other families! I haven't really seen this mentioned else where, but I assume this means that if we do not completely disable story mode but merely turn it down to low, it, too, should function properly?

WAY disappointed that other mods are incompatible; I was really looking forward to using that unlocking mod at MTS. ;____; Hah.

I assume that it can't be used with it, but, take heart. Pes lists the unlocked traits as a future feature on this!

I honestly have no idea on the story mode. I haven't played with it much because I knew it was broken and have only just awoken to find this shiny waiting on me, so I haven't gotten to read up or use it yet.

?
Story progression is either off or on. There is no medium setting.

Sorry, I was thinking of Free Will. But, I THOUGHT I'd heard that Free Will is supposed to work with story mode? Like, if you had it set to low, while story mode was on, there was supposed to be certain things that the Sims couldn't do, like adopt babies? I could be wrong; this was before the game came out. D:

Never you mind! With this hack in I was able to add the hidden PyroManiac trait to my sim.

Just to sound like a ditz, main install folder? Just stick it in Program Files -> Electronic Arts -> The Sims 3?

That's where you'll need to put the framework first, but then unzip awesome.zip into the Mods folder.

Thanks. That's what I meant, with the framework. Apparently, I am maxing out my "Being Unclear" skill. :)

I understand completely; I have it as a trait.

Sorry to ask a stupid question, but do you know which folder is the main install folder for a Mac? Oi. Why am I not doing this on my PC...

It should be like installing any custom on a MAC. Try this link:

Most of these sound good. Just not sure I like the No 16K forced into it. That never bothered me in Sims 2. Anyone who's tried this and can give an example of how much a sim got when they moved out of a household with a certain amount with this?

Hmm, I wish you could pick and chose which items from the list you wanted to use. I'll probably add it anyway to try it out. ^_^

Yeah ...it's not a typo. It is intentional. I kinda missed when that one was spawned.

okay, i'll be the idiot sounding one.

this doesn't seem to be working for me, i installed the framework as instructions said to the main TS3 install folder, i installed the hack as instructions said, to the mod folder.

now, it doesn't seem to be working. so, is it suppose to be automatic, or is it an object or am i just blindingly stupid and have missed something basic?

thank you for any and all help and suggestions unless they involve going to some mythical place.

yeah its not working for me either. I did have one other mod but I took it out and redid everything. One of my sims had a birthday and it still wakes everyone up, which the mod is supposed to stop.

sorry for asking this, as I'm sure a lot of other people have already, but when I download this or other CC, where do I put it? I know I go into Electronic Arts, but not sure where to save everything from that point.

Does this also do the whole magical thing of refreshing all motives? I like having my Sims up 24/7 and there is no way I can do that without a little help, hah.
